Starlight Road Smart Pedestrian Signal Auxiliary Light: Adding a Layer of Protection to Urban Crossing Safety
As urban traffic governance becomes more sophisticated, the need for refined safety prompts in pedestrian crossing scenarios has become increasingly prominent. Starlight Road's Smart Pedestrian Signal Auxiliary Light offers an innovative safety enhancement solution for traditional pedestrian signal systems through dual visual and auditory warning technologies.
This auxiliary light operates with a wide voltage supply of AC220±5% and a rated power of <12VA, ensuring stable performance in environments ranging from -30°C to +70°C. With an IP54 protection rating, it remains reliable in complex outdoor weather conditions. The core optical system features red LEDs with a wavelength of 620-625nm and green LEDs with a wavelength of 522-525nm, each with a brightness of ≥4500mcd. Combined with a ≥30° adjustable projection angle, it can clearly project a 4000*150mm strip light signal onto the pedestrian waiting area at a mounting height of 2.8 meters, synchronizing with the current pedestrian signal status to address the blind spots of traditional signal lights.
The product innovatively integrates a "visual + auditory" dual-warning mode: when the pedestrian signal is red, the auxiliary light projects a red light strip and broadcasts the voice prompt, "It is currently red; no crossing allowed." When the signal turns green, it switches to a green light strip with the prompt, "It is now green; please cross," while its blind clock function provides auditory navigation support for visually impaired individuals. The high-quality steel plate spray-painted housing, combined with an 80,000-hour ultra-long lifespan design, balances durability and low maintenance costs, making it suitable for pedestrian-dense areas such as schools, commercial districts, and hospitals.
This auxiliary light is like a 'megaphone' for zebra crossings, especially in nighttime and rainy/foggy conditions. The light strip projects far, and the voice prompts are clear, significantly enhancing pedestrians' sense of safety when crossing. Currently applied to main road zebra crossings in multiple cities, this product reduces vehicle-pedestrian conflict risks through multi-dimensional warnings, providing a standardized technical model for pedestrian safety protection in smart transportation construction.
