Definitions and Classifications of LED Traffic Countdown Signal Lights

I. Full-process LED Traffic Countdown Signal Lights (Learning Type)

The full-process LED traffic countdown signal lights (learning type) are mainly used at intersections controlled by multi-period and multi-phase LED traffic lights with fixed timing. The traffic countdown display shows a two-digit countdown time, with the longest display time being 99 seconds. It can synchronously display the entire duration of the green light, yellow light, or red light.

1.According to the regulations of "LED Traffic Countdown Signal Lights for Roads GA/T508-2004", when the operation control scheme of the LED traffic lights is switched, the countdown will operate in a black screen state within two traffic light cycles. This is a normal phenomenon and not a device failure.

2.When the time of some red lights or green lights exceeds 99 seconds (the longest display time), the time shown on the countdown timer will stop at 99 seconds until the overtime countdown is completed.

II. Post-process LED Traffic Countdown Signal Lights

The post-process LED traffic countdown signal lights are LED traffic countdown signal lights used in conjunction with the intelligent traffic signal control system (SCATS system). They start to display the time of the red light or green light at the end of each red light or green light period.

Since the post-process LED traffic countdown signal lights only start to display at the end of the red light or green light time, they are in a black screen state for most of the time.

III. Classifications of LED Traffic Countdown Signal Lights

LED traffic countdown signal lights: 1-digit countdown starting from 9.

LED traffic countdown signal lights: 2-digit countdown starting from 99.

LED traffic countdown signal lights: 2½-digitt (also known as three-digit) countdown starting from 199.
